Heard it all before game

Product Photography · E-Commerce · Brand Content

THE APPROACH

Heard It All Before is a game built around music samples, connecting hip-hop and soul through the songs, artists, and sounds people recognize across generations.

At launch, the brand needed clean, retail-ready product photography that clearly showed the game, packaging, and contents for e-commerce retailers, including Walmart.com. As the brand expanded its marketing, the photography we created a vision to move beyond the white background into styled product imagery designed to give the brand a stronger visual presence across its website, social media, and marketing.

PROJECT BRIEF

For the retail shots, the focus remained on the packaging, cards, and physical details of the game, including showcasing the corresponding iPhone app, so the images would meet Walmart’s e-commerce requirements.

For the styled shoots, I scouted locations with setups that allowed me to utilize color, textures, and layered arrangements to create images that centered on the game as a coffee table piece or an art piece you can display in your music room.

Both approaches gave the founder and brand a library of images to choose from: photography built to sell the product and photography built to communicate its personality.
